Blown Amplifier

Hi there, I have an old 1970's Awa (made in New Zealand) amplifier. It has a power jack on the back. About 3 weeks ago I plugged in an appliance (stupidly) and the amp blew. I replaced the fuse and it worked for about 4 days then the fuse blew again. Since then the fuses have been blowing every 4 days or so.

Can anyone help me with potential diagnosis? I am wondering whether I should get it fixed or just buy another amp.

Cheers

Welcome Rhama! It's from the 70's! I don't think it owes you anything! Get a new one.

I have to ask, why did you do that?

Did you replace the fuse with a fuse of the right value?
