One of the two tweets in my SDA-CRS is getting no signal from the xo. Anyone seen that before or know of a likely solution?
Also, anyone know why the literature says the SDA-CRS has crossover points at 60 and 3000hz when it appears to have 2 tweeters, 2 mids and 1 passive radiator in back?
Thanks,
Andrew

If yours aren't fused then the poly switch used in later models to protect the tweeter(s) probably needs to be replaced. If you call Polk customer service they will most likely send you a set for free. Pretty straight forward to swap in the old for the new.
The lit is just giving very general info. The models w/ 2 tweeters use 1 tweet for dimensional output. Later models used one tweet because the 2nd tweet for dimensional frequencies wasn't nec. One mid driver plays fulll range the other is for the dimensional output as well as bass.
See here for more detailed specs of the later 1 tweet CRS, see top of page 10 for more specific specs of the CRS+, similar to the CRS.

Thanks for the suggestions. My SDA-CRSs are the ones with 2 tweeters in each cabinet. The fuses are ok. The speaker that has the odd tweeter issue also tripped the thermal protection on its channel of my Adcom GFA 5200 (this was at low volume level). So apparently something is going on in there. The cabinet that works fine has output from both tweeters. The other one has just a tiny output from one tweeter and full output from the other. At higher volumes there is a scratchy sound. I swapped the tweeters left/right in the cabinet and the output was the same so I have to guess it's the xo and not the tweeter.
I'll try to get a new poly switch.
Thanks,

One set of tweeters in that CRS model are for SDA signal only, just as the mids are used. They are given a out of phase signal from the other speaker, at a lower level than the main tweeters. Both speakers should exhibit the same traits, unless someone has messed wiring up.HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

Are you using the SDA interconnect cable between the speakers?
You don't have poly switches to worry about if your speakers are fused. The polyswitch cap replaced the back cabinet fuses as a type of auto reset fuse. It only works to protect at high volumes.HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

with the age of most SDA's still in working condition today.. it's not out of the ordinary a resistor or cap could be bad... move the good tweeter over to the speaker with the bad crossover and see what happens.. hopefully it won't fry that one too.
are your tweeters SL2000's?PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

It has been asked: do you have the SDA cable plug into both speakers. 1 tweet and 1 woofers are for SDA effect?engtaz
