Is anybody knows where I could get the enclosure for the TC sounds drivers (http://www.tcsounds.com/tcrawsubs.htm#tc)? I just want to give it a try and assemble it with bash amp as Ben mentioned. If it is not possible, I might end up with SVS. I hope NSD driver are as good as TC Sounds built ISD. Thank you.

Downward, side, or upwards, it's all going to be transferred through the floor the sub is sitting on. Don't worry about it too much. You could isolate the sub from the floor if you a really worried about it. A couple scraps of carpet and some plywood would remove the floor shaking (and a lod of your volume) if you're that worried.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

keep saving spare change and buy a better sub, HSU, SVS, JL Audio. I went through 3 subs before my SVS, and it was here that I learned about them. I then added a second one last month. Dual PB12 Plus/2's will bring the collapse walls at loud volumes and thats what I wanted.

That's a good idea. I would place rubber mat underneath too.
Well, I have decided to get SVS PB10-NSD. Is it worth it to push a little more for SB12-Plus or 16-46PCi B-stock? Thank you all.

Depends on your room size and how low you want to go. In a small to mid size room both the PB10 and SB12+ will be plenty of sub...nod going to the PB for extention (18hz vs 23hz), nod on articulation with the sealed. The 16-46 is a bottom dweller, it will be louder and get flat to around 13-14hz in room at the expensive of some dynamics in the upper bass. All SVS subs sound great, very clean and powerful. I personally prefer my Plus in the 20hz tune over 16hz, YMMV.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

Try to find a used SVS PCi or CSi in your area. You should get one close to your price limit including a plate amp if you find a CSi.

    Hi Face,

I am currently live in apartment with hardwood floor, I am worried that the ED is the down-firing subwoofer so I don't want to get trouble with the people downstairs. would it be a problem? what do you think? I know I can't get that low frequency response unless spending $1000.

request that it be custom built and done differently. somehow i doubt anyone there will complain ;)

Well, finally end up ordering SB12+ b-stock today. I hope it should be fine even though it doesn’t go as low as pb10. And I guess there is only a few movies that go low like 20Hz. Thank you all for your help.

SB12 has more detailed, accurate, tighter sound then PSW10 I have as expected. On the 1st scene of Saving Private Ryan, the machine gun and explosion sounds very detailed and tight, U-571 the explosion are thrilling and room-shaking, LOTR-ROTK the battle fields are fantastic, Ronin - sounds pretty loud, Riddick and King Kong sounds a lot better than before, my wife even shook when we watched SuperNatural. I am not an audiophile so I can't provide more technical. Anyway I am very pleased with performance. Only one thing I have to talked about cosmetic is I am not sure they had service before they shipped out. There is LOADS of dust on driver and grill and some finger prints, loosely packed packing socks. Luckily there is no scratches. Well, b-stock.
I have not try using PEQ control, do you guys know how to use it? thanks.
