Since January, I've been going thru a nasty divorce and custody battle. I have my kids and they are thriving. Both received trophies for student of the year for their respective classes (1st & 3rd grades). Anyway, their mom thought I would fight not to give her part of the equity in the house, but to her sooooon surprise, I've just bought a new house. 3600sf, 1/2 acre lot, custom built, never lived in, and the owner is putting up a new block/wrought iron wall around it for me.:D Hardwood throughout, Granite in kitchen and all baths(4), 2 master suites, in Apple Valley, CA. FYI, the rv garage will be the new dedicated HT. Check it out and tell me what you think. I'll post interior pics later this week.

Damn, looks like you're doing allright. Good luck!
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

    A beautiful home.

Just seems like an awful lot for three people?

Then again, that could simply be envy talking from someone who has four people in a 1500 sq. ft. ranch! :)

Congrats and best of luck to you on the house.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

It appraised for 685k, but in this declining market, 500k is all it will bring because nothing is selling. My girl friend just closed on a brand new 2322sf home in this area with 0 out of pocket and 30yr fixed at 5.875%. It's so hard to move property out here that there are acutually builders offering new cars with the purchase of one of their homes. Timing is everything, and being a real estate investor, I love it.

At least he's not in LA and dealing with the smog and traffic. Congrat's on the crib. I remember being in San Bernardino and the heat was at 104 degrees, yet when I looked up at the top of the mountain I could see snow.

Drove down some kind of parkway [or race road] when I was out and witnessed some of the most beautiful greenery in the country [obviously not his "lawn"]. Lots of diversity.
