Skips on some brand new CD's, plus hear the clicking sound with almost all CD's. Sometimes takes an insufferably long time to load a CD, also. Did I get a dud?

Sounds like you may have a malfunction in your system...

...welcome to Club Polk by the way.

What clicking sound? is it in the speakers or in the machine?

thanks for the welcome. the clicking is definitely from the spinning, and it is not audible over the sound of the music, but is definitely there when there is silence.

My general rule is, if it sounds unusual or like its not supposed to be there, its prabably not supposed to be there.

If you are still under an exchange policy with where you bought it, I would try to get an exchange.
On the other hand, im not so sure that any retail stores carry the Isonic, so if you got it from polk direct, I would contact them and let them know whats going on with the machine.
