Whats up everyone?????
Hell I'm back looking (shame on me) and I noticed Anthem got some things going on for them. There new D2 and AVM50 pre amps are pretty nice. It's been years since I had to deal with them and I'm looking for a new preamp.
Does anyone own one yet?? HDMI switching is a key selling point for me as Blue Ray, HD DVD , HD cable , Xbox 360 , playstation 3 etc all have HDMI.
Rotel is dragging there **** on getting out a new preamp. I'm trying to wait around for them but I have not researched preamps or amps in a long time so I figured it's time.

Who else on the market has a killer preamp with HDMI switching??? Whats new guys??? Hell I also looked into Krell but they are nowhere to be found with anything new. Same with B&K.. but I didn't expect it.

With a new preamp for me probably will follow a matching 5 or 7 channel amp. I'm a matching kinda guy. I perfer to keep it in the family.

did you sell yours Darla? I was hoping that you still had it so I can buy it off you. I am seriously looking to AVM50, provided that B&K failed to produce a replacement for its REF50S2 this fall.

Dan, Anthem is great, you should go for it. Their firmware support is better than B&K. Features are better, SQ is a bit better than REF50, but automation and calibration features is where it shines. Of course, HDMI...
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I gotta find a dealer around here. Maybe someone will let me take it home for a test drive.

Rotel does have HDMI switching gear in the works. Its on its way. I am going to a dealer showcase later this month and I'm told Rotel will have such gear there.

Anthem makes some great gear. I demoed a few pieces at a local dealer and was impressed...plus the blue LEDs on the front of their amps looks cool!

I spoke with Rotel and there preamp rsp1069 should be out by this fall or so. I think I can wait to check that out first. They are also going to upgrade the rsp1098 which will be the rsp1099. That might be a better way for me to go as with it's design, it's designed to sound better then the rsp1068/9 series.

4 HDMI switching and 3 zones of multiroom. Thats pretty cool.
