    just found it and it is only 16 gauge, will that be thick enuf or will i want something like 10?

    Depends on the lenghth of the wire runs, and the ratings on your speakers.

    If they are 8ohm:
    16 gauge is good for 36ft.
    14 gauge is good for 60ft.
    12 guage is good for 90ft.

    If they are 4 0hm, take a third off those figures (24ft., 40ft., 60ft., etc.).

    Personally, I always use 12 or 14, no matter how short the runs are, never hurts to oversize. I have tried 10 gauge, but it is very difficult to run through walls, or bend neatly around corners, and I like to hide all my wires for a neater appearance.
