My snake was pretty cool. He loved to be held. When i came by his aquariam and opened the lid he would crawl right into my hand and and I would then put him around my neck and he would just hang out with his head on top of mine. He was around 6' long. There very easy to maintain, just keep the tempature maintained and feed him twice a month and handle them alot. Mine died when he got a bad mouse from the pet store.

I live near an open area in Tucson, and snakes(and everything else wild) are pretty common around here. I'll relocate just about any snake back to the open area except rattlers.

A couple of years ago, my neighbor found a tarantula walking down his hall. We get them a lot outside in the summer, but inside the house would be a bad thing.

Finding a scorp in the house (pretty common around here) would require a call to the exterminator.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

Tarantulas are no big deal. You have to screw around with those a lot to get them to bite you. Snakes and scorpions however, are spring-loaded to the "Ruin Your Day" position.
