    Looks like a broken solder joint on the resistor. You could always try soldering it back into place, and see how it works?

    I sent a E-mail to Ken with my find. I'm waiting to hear back from him to see if he thinks it was a quality control problem before I resolder the resistor back together..

    Wouldn't hurt to use 5-minute epoxy to stick the casing of this resistor to PCB on the sides. It could have broken off due to speaker vibrations.
