I listen at 80dB with peaks up to 85dB. Thats about 10 feet from the speakers in a 400 SF room.

Sometimes when I am done listening, my ears ring.

I have no fatigue while listening, though. Does that answer your question?:D

Not loud. I live in an apartment. You can see my setup in the system showcase.

I like basically sensitive speakers that can resolve detail at lower volumes. I have tried a ton of different ones, some need to be turned up "louder" to hear certain detail... those I don't like.

I had a sub (actually tried several), and it was too loud unless I turned it almost all the way down... Then it was almost like "why do I need a sub?" if I had to turn it almost completely down to enjoy it. (Room placement was not the answer, I tried every reasonable location) I ended up selling it on e-bay.

I dont listen to loud... :)

Depends on the song and the music. The best listening is late night -- you can hear everything at moderate volumes. Awesome stuff.

    90db isnt very loud...

90db is moderate levels... you can listen for like over an hour before any damage can occur and I usually listen around 45ish minutes at a time...

I've been in a room where there were 125db peaks and 115db continuous --- mids and highs. Not even counting bass.

Watched the new King Kong late Sunday night, early Monday morning, and measured the level with Radio Shack digital SPL meter. It was playing around 92db, with lots of power in reserve. Even though I am in a house, I am sure my neighbors "heard" at least the sub-woofer part.

However, this was louder than usual for me.

Be carefull. That might not go away. That's your ears crying for help.
There was a headphone guy that had the same complaint. A year later,
He was selling all his stuff cheap. The ringing decided to set up shop in his head. Now the good part,
    boy did I get a good deal!:D

Normally, I don't go loud. With the new tube setup, low volume now sounds very good.
I should of started out with glass!

On average, I tended to turn the volume up more as I add more and more bass panels. It seems to make the louder volume much easy to listen too as it kills all of the reflective waves…. I still don’t turn it up too loud though unless I’m rocking out for a few minuets before I head off to work….

I have had ringing in my head [or ears] since I entered this hobby at the ripe age of 13-14 or so. Headphones, jackhammers, stereos, concerts, races....it doesn't seem to me that "ringing" matters much as I am now 37+ years old. Eventually, yeah........I won't be able to hear [maybe]. I hope and pray that won't happen, but if it does, I know that I will have lived my audio life to the fullest. To me, that 's what matters [hobby speakin'].

My mom used to hear my headphones when I was downstairs playing music at my young age and she would come down, yell at me to turn it down [even though the TV was on upstairs in the living room where she was watching....on the opposite side of the house]. Yes, my ears would be ringing, but I could never figure out how in the hell she could hear what my headphones were producing downstairs with a closed door between the floors. It's like she had a freakin' radar or something.

Now, what was it you were saying? I didn't hear you.
