That's a lot of EL34's to only make 75 watts.

Never heard them, but I'd love to hear these 40 watts SET monoblocks:

maybe super conservative? the reviewer was driving some pretty heavy weight speakers with the amp, besides it comes with the stamp of approval of jena labs:) if this high ( i mean high) dollar cable manufacturer can lower themsleves to listen to something at the lower price spectrum surely it has to be good;)

ps. besides the price is right, $1237 shipped.

those sets are $1600, i thought about audio mirror 45 watt set monoblocks ($2100) but i don't think that is enough power for my speakers, 87 db 8 ohms.

Are you looking at buying it from pacificvalve? Over $100 in shipping sounds expensive....

What's that smiley on your 21A? Is it that good? Dave Belles at some point tried to sell me one of those. How would you compare it with the Dodd?

Wow. It looks inpressive. I've never seen an external power supply for a tube amp. I like it, although I don't like the fact that they put the RCA connectors on the side of the unit instead of the back.

If I were to buy it, I'd eventually mod the damn thing. Ming Da makes nice looking gear, but they need some further assistance under the hood to really make them sing.

that's $1237 shipped including the $108 shipping charge, three boxes arond 90 lbs total, insured. some of the other places charge $300+ for shipping from china.

the belles totally outclasses the entry dodd $3000 vs. $450 it should, great preamp i got it half price from a dealer.

the reviewer suggested sending it to jena labs to be modded then it becomes a $40,000 amp:eek::)

Yeah, those are kind of a pain. My favorite interconnects are short and fragile and on mine (the MC-88C) , not only are the inputs on the side, they are up at the front  Other than that, I have no complaints.
