    Ok more questions....

First does anyone know anything about IP addresses? Do these range so they are in the same general area of the world? So if I blocked something like 84.19.*.* which I think is the Germany and the UK did I block my next door neighbor also?

Issue #2 :) Yahoo doesn't allow any file that is "." anything as I like to add .htaccess file and can't do it. I changed the file name to htacess and then tried to change file name back and I wasn't allow. I read something like it's a database thing but if I changed that would I crash to site all together? Then I read people don't like yahoo over this issue, so not a db problem but a yahoo problem?

    I'm into IT issue's lost....

    Learning something everyday Thanks.

Still a little lost on how to block Germany and Russia from the site. I'm thinking less of these countries everyday.

Well I may have to rethink the Germany thing, a neighbor is from their and just left for a while to visit friends and family. All in all I think he's a good person, but 1 out of ? the odds are against him. ;)

Instead of blocking ALL IPs from Germany and Russia, how about instituting a confirmation process? This seems to work well for the Carver forum, we have no more Spammers over there....

Well what's working for me Bill is blocking IP addresses 84.19.*.* (Germany and the UK), 82.242.*.* (Russia), 121.150.*.* (Korea) this seems to be working. But I also noticed that most members I killed had this for an email *@mail.ru, so ok I bought it a step further and made *@*.ru and added *@*.de to my ban table. My thinking here if they can't register they can't post crap. So far this been good, but would like to stop them from everything the F%^kers.

BTW may have to rethink the Germany thing again WTF I'm thinking I got a GERMAN LAST NAME please excuse me I need to hold my head under the water in the pool.

I should add I have advantage over Carver Forums as I don't sell or market anything to that side of the world, so my ban controls maybe a little more cut and dry.
