Tribute thread to all fallen musicians

Too many times I'll be listening to some music or just the radio and the musician is no longer alive and I think to myself, what would it be like if they were still alive and all the others.
It's not fair when anyone dies but since this forum is music related, I choose to honor the fallen musicians here.
Today it was Jim Croce. Tomorrow it will be someone else.
Thank goodness we still have their music.
Maybe they will hear some of our comments.

I like your premise here but I have to laugh at,"It's not fair when anyone dies" -
I still mourn the passing of the man in black

Marvin GayeI never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -

Janis Joplin and her passion.
Bob Marley and his wonderful regae music.
John Lennon...much, much more could have been enjoyed.
The "Eat A Peach" boys for that down home southern music.
Marvin Gaye for beautiful tunes.
Soundgarden "as a band", damn I wish they were still together. [I know they aren't deceased, but I couldn't help myself]~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
