It may come from me. I ran the 9's and 15's on a jolida 302 and although they sounded wonderful I would fairly quickly end up bringing them to the point where they started loosing soundstage and back off. I was always thinking if they would just give me a little more I might be happy. I really don't listen very loud either. It was a 22 x 12' room with the speakers about 10 feet apart and me 10' away. No where near the volume of the SDA-SRS with the same amp.

Remember, quality power is far more important then quantity power with the LSi's.

Yeah, I've learned my watts lesson with this NAD amp I have. My yamaha's I had were all rated WAY more powerful and this nad at 50wpc X5 would blow the yamaha's I had. My rxv1300 was rated at 125 watts per chan and not even close to my NAD

I'm hopefully going to make myself this debate's guinea pig at some point in the future. I'll probably be demoing the 502B and the 1501RC with the LSi15's.

Jolida is only 30 minutes away, so I can't imagine that would be too difficult.

Good luck getting a decent demo. Jolida's owner, Michael Allen has all the social skills of a great white shark and a mouth just as big.

Be sure to ask him if you can put a plant in front of it.

Me too... Every speaker I have hooked up to my 60wpc NAD integrated gets louder than my ears can handle by the time the volume is rotated to only a 3rd of the way... This includes 4 ohm loads.

Nad makes amazing amps for the money. The OP should consider one like the c352, or c325bee... one of their current integrateds has the c162 pre section, a very nice pre in it's own right.

I've definitely had my ear talked off. It's OK...people like that are entertaining.
