anyone know anything about the jolida 801a tube integraded amp?

i can get a new one with remote for $1280 free shipping and 2 year warranty.
anyone compared the jolida to the tad-60 at $1344 shipped with 3 year warranty?

    Jolida makes a lot of great integrated tubies. Check out Audiogon, there's several 302s, 502s, etc. As far as I know, most of them are very well respected.

    For half of that price, you can get a used 502. Spend the extra $600 on tubes, power cord, interconnects, and possibly some mods.

    For $1280 I would either:

    A: Jump on it and don't look back

    OR

    B: Double that amount and look for something much better used.

    it;s my understanding that the 801a uses jolida's best power supplies thus making it much stronger and better sounding than the 502.

    For $1,280, buy a used SS amp for $750 - $800 and use the remaining funds for a tube pre-amp. That combo may serve you better than the Jolida alone.

    If I had to choose between the Jolida and the TAD, I'd go TAD without hesitation.
