What are you looking for cable wise? Speaker, IC, digital, ect. What lengths are you looking for as well?

I own Signals and I've heard MITs, which, btw are awesome if you can afford them. Jesse had a pair of ICs with impedance match switching on it and I really liked the way they sounded.

This is what I was looking for. Thanks guys.
I want to replace my IC's, one HDMI, and a set of component cables for now,
I'll address my speakers later. Most of my runs are under 1 meter, so I would like to stay at or under $100.00 each. I'm looking at used and new.Michael

You'll talk to Frank directly and he'll steer you in the direction you need to go -- even if its not the most "profitable" for him. Mention you're with Club Polk and he'll even throw in a 5% discount.
He's always supported this forum in many ways.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -

Another for Signal, within your stated budget a strong contender. Not only do the cables perform well, the owner has supported this club, provided give-aways for Polkfests and offers solid advice for all who care to call him.

They are good cables, but waaaaaaaaaaaay over priced! You can get just a good a cable from any of the companies listed above for a fraction of the price.

OK...so one loves his jeans and one hates them...any explanation by either as to why? I posted this elsewhere, but a very devoted audio fiend friend of mine claims that cables is cables and with reasonably good cables you cannot hear a SQ difference. And I would think we would all agree that cables should not "affect" sound quality. Eh?

Neil, Joe is just pulling my leg about my IC's being crap. (We've been having a running battle about the snob factor of people like him & where they shop for their audio equipment.:p )
I basically go with what I can afford & what my ears & common sense tell me.
My BJC's sound better that the cheapo freebies that they include in the box when you buy the gear. (which is all I had till I joined this board.) They are well constructed, slip on & off with ease, and are affordable.
I'm not interested in finding & trying out any other cables since these work just fine.
You will get people who are simply tinkerers & are willing to swap everyday & all day till they find "THE SOUND" & spend all kinds of money in the process.
I will only spend within my means, I'm a buy em & hold em once I'm happy with what I think is good sound & then just sit back & enjoy.
You read the boards & you will get the urge to constantly second guess yourself & your purchases. Since someone is ALWAYS ranting & raving about their latest purchase & how it did THIS much improvement.
Only YOU know for yourself when enough is enough.
GOOD LUCK! You will need it.
P.S. I'm a she!

Cathy, when you take Joe out are you going to do the diaper driving thing????
Some people cannot hear differences in cables, most however, seem too.
I consider any money spent on non-audio related items basically wasted dough. You can always sell gear to get cash, but you can't sell necessaties, so the more gear you buy the richer you are, see, simple.

Well, if he keeps pulling your leg, tell me cause I handle sexual harassment lawsuits! I know the feeling of chasing after a little bit better and a little bit better and on and on....I'm not willing to pay $100 for 3 feet of connector cable, but I am thinking the $14 a pair acoustic research cables I got might not cut it when I invested $1000 into a higher end amp. I found a real nice article on a2zcable.com about cable construction. Nice little read for the less informed. Mike (and now I will quit writing "you guys" in all my posts). -

hang around this bunch, you will be rich, we will all be broke, although, since we all harass each other its the same pot of money in the big picture, except of course for your cut each time.NeilGabriel wrote: »...I'm not willing to pay $100 for 3 feet of connector cable, but I am thinking the $14 a pair acoustic research cables I got might not cut it when I invested $1000 into a higher end amp. Oh, man, I remember those long gone days, when you get your first cables that your ears tell you matter, the virus begins, no cure, I wish I could mine for 100 bucks. I would suggest the Signal Cables or the Blue Jeans like Cat uses. I was given some excellent advice early on, your ears will tell you when to stop with cables.
OK Mike, pleased to meet you.

Really...if I knew when enough was enough, I wouldn't have 9 sets of speakers. I assumed this was the place for an intervention. Friends who could talk you down from the ledge of that next credit card purchase!
Anyways, I ordered some bluejean cables. Anything made out of denim has to be cool. -

Thank you my dear it is good to be back!!! Rough week if I say so myself and it is only Wednesday! LOL!!! -
Michael, unless your present cables have been damaged and become intermittant, they can't be "upgraded" effectively. These items involve very simple audio technology and no miracles are available, regardless of cost. When cables are in fact needed a reasonably-priced source such as MonoPrice, which has already been mentioned, is available and another reputable no bs outfit which has been mentioned(although somewhat higher in price)is Blue Jeans.
