Paradigm, Carver, Acurus

My hearing is shot and the aids don't help much so I'm selling my Carver TFM-35, Acurus 200x3, and Carver CT-27v.

Quite some time ago I asked Russman for some help in establishing pricing on these items as I'm about totally out of touch with the audio world and pricing. Based upon his much appreciated input at that time:

Acurus 200x3 power amp - $350 lowered price to $300 plus shipping cost. SOLD to Sami

Carver TFM-35 power amp and CT27 tuner preamp - $475 lowered price to $400 plus shipping cost. Carvers sold to michaeljhsda2, pending funds.

I have had this equipment for ~10 to 15 years. Everything is in very good shape, fully functional, and would warrant a solid 8 on a 10 scale except the 27v. It has an annoyance in that the connectors for the main pre-out need to be re-soldered. Wiggling the connectors gets full sound back so I'm sure it's a simple soldering job for someone capable.

The wife and I both smoke so non-smokers would probably be bothered by lingering odors.

I have a nice AV receiver coming so it's time to give these another chance to sell.

The CT-27v connector problem has been repaired. Will sell the Carver pair for $400 plus shipping. Carvers sold to michaeljhsda2, pending funds.

I will sell the Acurus for $300 plus shipping. Will look to see if I have the original box but may have to get creative on packaging. Acurus is SOLD to Sami

Looks like somebody else enjoys some hunting, too. Girlfriend doesn't like the deer heads in the living room so mine have been relegated to the basment.

That Acurus is a nice piece. I just sold one and am wishing I hadn't. Neutral and powerful are the best words for it. Somebody jump on this.

Have decided to keep the Paradigms.

The Paradigms were bought new from Stereo One in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I believe the 100s are the first variation of that product. I will try to dig up the literature I have for that purchase (if I still have it).

edit: did that.

The Paradigms were all bought the same day - 11-22-96. The Acurus was purchased in April of 98.

I do have the owner's manuals for both (pretty skimpy on the Acurus) as well as a some other literature and a review on the 100s.

I think I was second in line for the Acurus, but I just spent some money on a pre-amp last night accidently. One of those, "I'll never get it for this bid.." jobbies. So, I will wait a while before I spend more on my stuff.

OK, currently - with regard to the Acurus -

bopicasso has first dibs and I'll give him a day to decide.

Shicks18 would have second but his arrival in this area is an issue.

Sami will be next up (provided we can work out the paypal thing) should bopicasso pass the deal. Sami, would you be paying from funds already in your account? Looks to me like there would be no paypal fees if you would be.
