My CSi5 is about 2 weeks old and recently I have noticed when high pitched vocals occur the CSi5's tweeter will make a scratchy/crackling noise along with the vocal. Also I will hear the noise when the characters say something which involves a lisp. My reciever is a 4 month old Denon 2307ci and I am using 12awg cables with banana clips.

Try cleaning your interconnect and binding posts with some rubbing alcohol. Sometimes dirt and oil can collect and degrade the sound. This happened to me with my Left Rti8. Gave it a cleanin and all was well.

Are you using the Denon's RoomEQ (if it has one)? I've notice my CSi5 gets a bit staticy when I've got the room EQ engaged and the EQ is trying to push the highs. Try turning it off to see if it solves the problem. If it does then leave the EQ off or adjust it until the fuzziness goes away.

Set your tone controls to flat and see if the problem goes away.
