Just finished watching the BluRay version.

It was outstanding. I'm a little ashamed I took so long getting around to watching it. Everything about it was top notch. I enjoyed it very much. There really isn't much else to say. I was genuinely impressed by everything.

It draws an obvious comparison to Gladiator. While they are entirely diffrent in terms of plot, they share a lot in common. I can't really tell which one I liked better, maybe Gladiator, but its close, and you can't go wrong either way. Both are excellent, both visually and for sound.

I just got my HD-DVD of 300 in the mail from Amazon. Gonna watch it tonight after my basketball game.

I think I paid $20 including shipping, new in box. I also picked up Planet Earth and Good Shepherd. I love Amazon when it works like it should. . . and loathe it with every bit of my fiber when an Amazon deal goes astray.

Should get my second 5 free HD-DVDs from Toshiba rebate soon as well.

Which soundtrack do prefer the TrueHD or the LPCM on your BD copy of 300? I' ve always went with the True HD track but on 300 I went with the PCM it seemed to have alot more bottem end, and you could really tell the difference when Xerxes speaks on the PCM track its alot deeper, I know they where supposed to be identical after some level ajustment but on this disc I just have a hard time beliving it.

I didn't really do a lot of A-B'ing from PCM to HD, but I think the PCM sounded a little cleaner as well.
