FS: TWO Outlaw 2200 monoblocks - $375

edited April 2007 in For Sale (FS) Classifieds
Two used with original boxes Outlaw 2200 monoblocks for sale. I am the original owner. They have been replaced by my Onix SP3 tube amp so I don't have a use for them. They drove my RTi10s and Strata Minis effortlessly. They do not get hot.

The pair new is $650 direct from Outlaw. There is/was a pair on Audiogon for $400 (I think the might be a fellow polkie's)

$375 for the pair. Sold as pair only. No price negotiation. This is a great price and I'll keep them if I can't get that for them.

don't get too mad at the guy... he may not have followed the unwritten rules precisely, but I did not tell him I'd take them... I only inquired about location so I could estimate shipping. so.... I am not angry one bit, if I had told him I'd take them, then that would be a different story. For me to get the three channels I need would have added a bit more... a new one would bring the total to near $800 shipped for 3 of 'em. great deal, but beyond my budget... might have to 'settle' for an adcom 5503 locally for a few hundred less.

It seemed to have given the guys on craigslist and av123forums enough of a chance. You guys _appear_ to be whining a bit here, despite the fact that I know you're all a nice bunch of people. IMO, nobody is entitled to anything more than they got. There are no posted rules that say a sale has to go on here for a couple of days before letting the rest of the world in on it either.

If your general practice of seeing to it that only the people here get several days' cracks at things has slowed your response times down - well I don't see how thats anyone's problem other than your own. Otherwise, post your "unofficial rules" or realize that they're unofficial.

All this does is make me want to take my next great priced, hot ticket item elsewhere.

You're missing the point. The idea here is to give a Polkie first crack at some thing because you want to. If that's not your intent--then yes, take your sale somewhere else. Polk Flea market is all about GOOD karma---there's no need for "official rules" when it comes to good karma.

It's obvious to me that you're more interested in making a sale than you are in passing a good deal to a fellow polkie--do what you do. Bottom line, the FM isn't the place to "make money fast" it's a place to give someone else a chance to experience some hi-fi, that they may not be able to afford otherwise.

Hell, we can get e-bayed and Craigslisted on....well, ebay or Craigslist. Esta bien chancho?

BTW, your amp deal was very good.

FWIW -- I sometimes post an item here and on the 'gon at the same time, but offer the item here at a lower price or throw in free shipping. That seems fair enough to me.
