I just bought an RM6750 home theater speaker set, and when I turn the sub on it just crackles, no matter how I hook up to it and even with nothing connected. Is this thing blown or defective, or am I missing something?

That can't be a good thing.
I'd call Polk customer service.

Shouldn't be doing that If you just got it, I'd suggest taking it back to the store for an exchange.-Eric

Take it back to the store you bought it from. Something is wrong with the sub.Michael
