Does anyone have any experience with belkin pure av Line conditioners? I found a nice one for sale and was wondering how good it is and if belkin made good equipment. Thanks for any replies.

I have a friend with the Belkin Pure AV, and it seems to be a pretty good unit. He only has an LCD TV, low-powered HTR, satellite box, and DVD player hooked to it, but it seems to provide clean power. Some of the reviews were also pretty good if I remember correctly.

Some other brands in the same price/function range to compare to are Tripp Lite, Panamax, Furman, and Munster. I have both Panamax and Tripp Lite and can recommend both of those. Good Luck!

I have been thinking about getting the PF60. Budget wise I would probably go as much as 4-500 bucks but from ebay or the gon. I found a PF60 for about 225 new on the bay.

Although it would cost a little more money in the long run, I would look at getting something that won't be as current prohibitive as any of the panamax, belkin, or tripplite products. This is mainly for your sunfire amplifiers, pre, and plasma. Within the original $400-$500 budget, get something from PS Audio or Shunyata(used) and get a reasonbly priced unit from Pana, Tripp, or Belkin for the other stuff. Overall, this might put you at the $500-$700 range, but it would be worth it in the end.

If the Belkin is good for now I would get it because I plan on doing a whole new theatre in my basement within the next year or so. So then I will get the big guns for my system. I think I am gonna get the belk for now, it's better than the monster powerbar I have right now anyways. Thank's for the info OKIE.

Go something from Monster. I know just the very word in this forum starts WWIII but for some reason I like their products pretty well.

I just got an email from ecost saying that it is on backorder now when their website said they had it in stock. I paid for 2 day shipping and now have to wait until they get it in stock again. What should I do, call and tell them to refund my shipping moneysince it should have been arriving today or just forget about it and wait for it to eventually come? Anyway I am just pissed off right now.

I'm not surprised. This seems to be standard practice at eCost. You'll get your 2 day shipping, but when, and if, they get the product in stock. They seem to be a huge believer in the 1-shot sale theory.

I've ordered from Ecost a couple of times, and I have never recieved any merchandise.

The website will show in stock, a few days to a week later, I got the out of stock email, and then a week or more later, the cancelled order email.

I just emailed them saying that if they dont fix my problem I will be cancelling my order and then calling my credit card company to not allow the charge. I am going to give them a call tomorrow to see if they even received or looked at my email that I sent and to see what their intentions are.
Not to be a wise ****, but William why go back after the first time they screwed you?

1/2 price deal seemed great then but looking online now,wow really $150 bucks now.
Initial hook up and listening gave impression of a clean punchier tight sound. The intense evening listening sessions yeilded the following, punchier, tighter upper bass and midbass region, however it was an artificial and gated type of punch.
The lowest register went missing even with amps off the conditioner a fatal flaw for me,my system has great lowend.
The Vocalists and intruments became like flat cut-outs,less overall depth and space for each element. Height stayed as was but bloom reduced. The sense of space and air reduced and the room sounded like it did when I had it way over deadened at one time in the past. It sucked too much life out music.
If your system is polluted with noise/rf I think you'll like the PF-60.If your gear is all hooked through one double outlet 15 amp circuit or powerstrip.I think you may see improvement.
Temper my comments with the fact that I'd upgraded all the power delivery side greatly well before PF-60 insertion.
I saw the unit on sale and it looked so well made. The cord is like a garden hose. It makes a TV picture look great under the worst of conditions...all our light dimmers low,12 flourescent tubes,dishwasher,fridge,a/c,all on.
For me I think it over-filtered on the audio side robbing musicality and harmonics.I returned my unit after a month...but if I can get one for $150 I'll put one on the television.

Power Conditioners seem to make a difference, from my experience.

I remember my OTA TV reception's static went away when I used a power conditioner and also ran the antenna through the conditioner.

    So yes, they are worthwhile.
