Anyone going?

Went to the 2005 Home Entertainment Show at the Hilton and was probably the best 3 days of my life...and audiophile's dream!

I will be most likely going this year, anyone care to join in?

The location will be at the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan, and will take place on May 11-13, 2007.

I can't wait!

    I'm definitely going!

They do have these shows around in other places, it's called T.H.E. Show (just search online) which goes to most major cities, The Hi-Fi Show is also similar, and also there's CEDIA (this year will be in Denver I think) and of course CES!

The Home Entertainment Show (HES) takes place annually - sometimes biannualy - in New York City and also somewhere in California. So for you guys on the West Coast, Home Entertainment Show is also popular there.

I will attending on Sat. I also attended the 2005 show and really enjoyed it. The highlight of that show was BAT demo using JM Lab grand Utopia, which is one of the best sound that I have heard.

I'm thinking on heading to this also. Might just take the Amtrak from Baltimore since the hotel is right there at Grand Central Station. No worries about driving in NYC! Get off the train and you're there!

Anyone else game for the Amtrak?

Looks like I can get the Amtrak from Baltimore to Penn Station NY for about a 2 1/2 hour trip. I can take a taxi from Penn Station to the hotel. Fare is about $86 each way. With the price of gas skyrocketing again, that should be a bargain!

Keep in touch and let's square up plans to meet.

    Sure, why not!

The registration area is usually too crowded, but somewhere on 3rd Fl. or so would be better, IMO.

They usually have good deals at the show. Especially on Sunday. If you're willing to buy the Show floor model and carry it with you some good deals can be had.

How about in the InFocus/Polk Audio room?

Seems to me since we are a Polk forum we should meet in the Polk room.

I just hope I don't get called onto a jobsite so I can go. Whatever happens after that is a bonus. I've worked all but 3 weekends this year. % days in the office and weekends (and some weeknights) on a jobsite. I am starting to mis-out on some good plans now that summer is starting.

I was thinking of the Polk Audio room as the best choice for a get together. I think last year the room was shared with InFocus, but I'm not sure if I can recall correctly.
