Call me back about an hour ago.. and she said that, "Everybody here loves you..." I laughed, and said I think that was good
Going in tomorrow morning to meet with "Your new boss, should you take the job" to find out what the nitty-gritty would entail. I'm excited. Pending the money, I think it's a done deal.
See, and I didn't even have to slap her ****... although... never mind.Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

I've heard when negotiating your starting salary, you should kick hime repeatedly in the nards until he gives you want you want....There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Anyone remember that movie Monster Squad?
"The Wolfman has nards"I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -

Alrighty! Had this feeling that today was going to be the day. Sure enough, about 30mins ago, I got a phone call from the company.. picked it up, and thank you ma'am... they offered me the job!
And get this... they offered me about 12% higher than the average employee gets offered, and 5.8% higher (Number calculations courtesy of yours truly) than they have ever started an Project Manager (Actually, I'll be a Project Coordinator.. support for a project manager, until I learn my way around, and get a promotion to PM). She said that they really wanted to get me on board, therefore the extra high starting salary. I couldn't resist, and took the job!
So, I'm turning in my resignation tomorrow and will start the new career April 9th!!! I'm so totally stoked!
Thanks for all the good luck wishes... I know it had absolutely nothing to do with my successful interactions, but regardless... it was well appreciated
Here's to 2007! Cheers!Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

Freakin' A... I haven't been this happy in forever! The future is very bright, and the career field just really opened up for me.
Cheers!
Oh ya, on top of the salary, we can bonus at a minimum of 6% every year. She said the company just restructured the bonus program and they expect every single team to hit the bare basics... so that's another good perk for me! Anyways, carry onHonoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

BTW, don't resign until you get the offer in writing and pass your physical, which will probably include a drug and alcohol test. I hope none of this becomes and issue.

Congrats Nightly! Is this in Construction Project Management? That's what I've been doing for the last few years. I changed jobs this summer and things couldn't be better. I was an Assistant Project Manager for one of the largest electrical contractors in the Midwest and now work for one of the largest construction companies in the nation. It's an intense job but worth it. Congrats again!"I got into the music business thinking it was really radical, that it wasn't really a business at all, that it was a lot of people being artistic and creative. Not true, and it made me very depressed."

I've had my eye on Construction Project Management for a few years, but don't have the qualifications for that job yet! Someday, maybe 2-3 years down the road, I'll see if I want to transfer over into that... but for now, It's going to be restaurant design and stuff. My group has done Apple Bee's, Chipotle, Steak & Shake's and many more... designing all their kitchen's and layouts, and everything else in between. The Restaurant industry is a booming one, so it's where I get to cut my teeth!
I hope it's as challenging as I believe it will be... I start April 9th! First day on the job. Can't wait!!!Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member
