I rec'd the Marsh A200 from EarlyB today and recently bought the Dodd ELP from ND13. I hooked them up with some Signal Cable IC, and speaker cables, along with my EPOS ELS-3 monitors. Used the Cambridge Audio 640.v1 CDP as the source. Absolute sweetness! The Marsh is one great sounding amplifier, EarlyB tells no lies  Rolled the Amperex tubes into the Dodd, and I've been enjoying this little system all evening. Nothing small sounding about the EPOS, especially with this gear upstream.

Very, very cool. Glad you're enjoying it.

P.S. -- Please offer me first right of refusal if you ever decide to sell that amp. It's one of those fish that shouldn't be thrown back in the sea.

EarlyB - you have first dibs should I ever part company with it!

This is a really enjoyable system! It won't replace my Magnepan's, but wow it really sounds good! Not sure how I am going to work and listen to this as the office system

Of course since it's not the required 200 wpc I guess it can't be that good :p

I need a little more time with the Marsh sound, but I can definetely see a pair of A400's as future power for the Magnepans. I had my heart set on Parasound Halo JC-1's, but now I'm going to have to rethink that ;)

I don't think the Marsh amps are bridgeable.

Well dkg999, I guess that means that those EPOS will NEVER find their way to me. Congrats on getting something you truely enjoy.

EarlyB - I run a pair of 2 ch. Parasound HCA-1500's in a vertical bi-amp configuration. One 2 ch amp powers the tweeter section with the right channel, and the mid/woof with the left channel. I don't need them to be bridged into a mono amplifier. And maybe a single A400 might be more amplifier than my pair of Parasounds

H9 - this system will be coming to a local Polk gathering!

    Gotcha.

If you're gonna bi-amp, consider using an A200 for the highs and an A400 for the lows.

    Ooh la la...
congrats Doug. Sounds like a sweet set-up.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Halo - well the next Rockford Audio Society meeting of course! I'm still trying to move a meeting so that I can make the new date for the IL Polkfest. I'm pretty confident I'll get that done, and if so then I will pack this up and bring to that meeting. Doug.
