Mike, where is this place. I've been all over Wilmington and have found only Overture & HiFi house! It's probably right under my nose but I haven't seen it. As my mom use to say to me, "if it had teeth it would have bitten you!"

    mmadden,
I recieved an email from them, try..promos@6ave.com. Hope that helps!

I just checked--so did I--looks like they use promo codes at checkout. My guess is that this sale is Online only--not sure how you would apply them in store--Couldn't hurt to bring the email along anyway-worth a shot.

I don't know about others' experience with the XPA-5, but for my own, I've been extremely satisfied with both my XPA-5 & XPA-2; they drove my 7 Polk LSi speakers beautifully, especially with listening to music.

I noticed in your signature that you have the denon 4810:D

Do you pair up the 4810 with the emo's?

Does the emotiva do a better job than the denons internal amplification?

I don't use the Denon internal amp at all. The main reason was the Denon ran too hot even without utilizing its internal amp, and, of course, running seven 4-ohm speakers with it would not be a good thing, to me :D
Therefore I drive my HT with the XPA5 and my 2-channel Zone2 with the XPA2.

I don't think this is the place to have the Emotiva debate. We've been over it, everyone knows Emotiva's past... this is just a sale notification thread.

Hell, there was an XPA-2 at PolkFest....

I heard an Emo on the Carver Amazings at Polkfest. I was very unimpressed compared to the Carver and I'm not a Carver fan. To be totally fair the listening session was very informal and haphazard. But both amps were playing under the same conditions.

I listened to Phil's AAD's with both the CArver ? and the Emotiva XPA2. If I had my choice of amps, I'd have chosen the Carver. The Carver sounded much smoother and the treble was much more tamed than the Emo piece. I have heard the XPA5 and for a HT piece, I thought it was fine. Music was a bit harsh on a complete Paradigm Studio system. Every piece has it's place.
