Not to thread jack but following up on my previous post:

The supervisor from Sunfire called me back. He looked at the electronic call log and understands why I was frustrated. The guy who was supposed to call me back was fired a couple of days after he dealt with me, then they moved their corporate HQ so probably why I had trouble sitting on hold for 45 minutes. He apologized and agreed to pay for shipping via UPS and repair or replace my TGA7200 since I flat shouldn't be able to cook an egg on top of it. He gave me his direct line and is sending UPS with a pre-paid label later this week. Will keep you guys posted and thanks for the help.

It's an OK price. If not a little high. You can get an M80 for 300.

    It's not 500w, it's 125x2. I own this amplifier :)

Very clean amplifier. First 10 watts are Pure Class A. This means lots of power, very clean output, and TONS of heat.

This was my first power amplifier ever and I have it still today. It is NOT worth $250 in my opinion, maybe $150. I got mine with a preamp and a cd player in a set for $200.

As stated before though, Yamaha amps aren't as easy to fix, but I've only had one break on me, and it broek before I ever got it. (lower end amp).

I currently have an M45 and MX1000U and love them. If i were to spend 250, I'd rather spend 350 and get an adcom.

    Have you seen this? http://nh.craigslist.org/ele/1270305794.html
Get 4 of those, offer $250 or so!

I'm selling my Atlantic Technology A-2000 amp. It can put out 120W x 7 continuous into 8 ohms ALL CHANNELS DRIVEN! It was a huge improvement when I started using it instead of my receiver's amp. This monster has 2 toroid transformers and weighs 80lbs. Also has 12v remote turn-on input. Originally retailed for $1200. Works great. There is a small scratch on the front but that's the only flaw.
