Sometimes these can be useful for breaking ground loops. If you'd like to try it out, I have one that I'm not using that I can ship to you.

I use two of them and they are on the same circuit. They will not remove that hum you're referring to. That could be ground loop or power supply cap problem in your gear somewhere. Have you unplugged things one at a time to see what gets unplugged and the noise stops? Do you have cable TV going to any audio stuff? Does the hum go away if you disconnect the cable? If so the easiest way to get rid of it is re-terminate that coax cable at that location and NOT use the ground shield on the connection at that location.

the instructions from PS audio do say two on the same circuit will work much better.

@clipdat i use a humX often when i dj. I always keep 2 of them in my wire bag. They have come in handy often at venues. You would be suprised how many places have bad grounding or dirty power. I also run a furman.
