I love my Audire Model 1, though someday I will have to part with it.

Audire is highly underrated stuff IMO for vintage. Nice warm tube-ish sound but still has nice muscle and detail. Parlando is 800lb gorilla by comparison, a dual mono in the same chassis amp and I think 100wpc of Class A power - she weighs close to 90lbs! It's a beast.

Is this the same exact model as yours? I thought this one looked newer/older.

    Also, it's silver... boooo

@Clipdat You should grab it, mine won't go that low.

The one in the OP is not, the black one pictured in my quote is the same as mine. Silver one in the OP is a 15.

Good luck to you sir! If you get a chance, plug em in and maybe even get an audition. They might be trying to unload a lightning struck dead set. :s But I'd definitely go and see in person and try the above or at least smell the guts for that burnt smell. But still, GOOD LUCK Dave!

    75lbs. of class A. :oB)

    It's a potential hernia amp. :#

I wonder if the PRE has to have that external power supply?
