I wanted to post these here, because I think they are absolutely beautiful stands with marble bases. The top and bottom plates are welded on, so you'd have to drill holes in the top to mass load them. Have no idea how you would spike the bottoms for carpet.

I think it might just be the bright lights. There are bits underneath the tweeter that sometimes make it appear to be crunched when you're just looking at the internals. I've thought my tweeter had ripples in it before. I could also be wrong though
For $75, could be checking out anyway for someone close by.
