I pronounce SVS like this: "ssvee's" Just because I'm so much cooler than everyone else. I was interested in purchasing a used ssvee's cylinder sub, but bought a shoe instead. Now you guys are having as much trouble understanding the words that are coming out of my mouth as I did when I first joined here. You guys were speaking Klingon. Bright, warm, long decay rate, wider sound stage, more open, pfft. When I joined here, I thought you guys forgot to send me my decoder ring.
I actually did some searching before buying the "shoe" and there seems to be a few models where the owners had their amps fail. The VTF was one of them, but it seemed to be the original and mk2. I'm sure my amp is made by the same company as the troubled amps, so only time will tell. I think they said they use bash amps and some of the people were replacing the bad ones with non-oem amps that fit perfectly. Hopefully that is something I'll never have to deal with. -
That's excellent that the oem amps will fit perfectly.
That's usually not the case. And I do hope you never have to deal with that issue.

And its a hike even for me at 3.5 hours, but I know a guy in Evansville who could help you secure them if you wanted to buy em lol........
