    I can't believe those didn't sell after the price drop. Personally, I don't know if I could bring myself to buy speakers that would have to be shipped unless they were being shipped in their original packaging.

    I don't know, with shipping you're getting close to the price on the ones in Polk's ebay store and they are new. You don't get a center channel but you do get free shipping.

    Problem with organ amps used in hi-fi is the small OTs. That uses 6L6s in push-pull. It deserves a twenty pound OT. Compare that little Baldwin OT to the Heathkit OTs. I'd definitely go with the Heathkit. Those usually have great iron. As a matter of fact I have a Conn organ amp just about like that around here somewhere collecting dust.

    Dont disagree, however the OT's can always be swapped out if needed (know someone who did that).

    Eh dont disagree, however you also cannot see the scale of the amp either. I have a buddy with a baldwin that is about 3 feet long, and while in a pic the OT looks small, once taken in scale its rather large.

    I gave them a good listening last night wand came away very impressed. I have long held that in speaker design the brute force method of size and weight usually wins out over design and engineering just like mass has the advantage in a car crash. If that held to speakers, it a cubed weight ratio advantage.

    Thats a bit of silliness but there is a thread of truth. But, times change and engineering and materials progress. These are marvelous. And perfect for the smallish room size. Anyone want some Martin Short Signifiers?

    I have heard those before, Tony. While they not be "my" particular type of sound, they are a full range-well rounded speaker. I don't think many folks would be displeased with the sound they produce and you are right, no brainer for the price.
