hi all,
i sincerely apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere, but there are pages and pages of threads to look through.
my concern deals specificaly with the a white noise generated when the 'auto on/off' is in the middle position.
as i understand it, 'up' will always be on (green light) 'middle' will be auto sensing (green when there is a signal, going red after a short duration with no signal), and the 'down' position will turn it off no matter what (red light).
well, when in the auto sensing position as i call it, once i shut my reciever off and the light goes red, i hear a hiss or hum. if i manually switch it to the 'down' position, the noise goes away. it's a minor annoyance, but it's like having to manually turn my sub off and on with each use.
i have a denon avr2106 reciever and i use the dedicated sub cable (monster) to the 'lfe in' jack.
any thoughts?
thanks in advance!
