    Get your facts straight.

My Dad told me to armor all HIS speakers. So I did.

Ive never armor alled any of my speakers. I would never do that to my stuff.

    Thanks for playing.

I believe the practice of retail chains putting Armorall on speaker cones has been going on for ages. Gives 'em the glassy, brittle new-age sheen the public craves. Damn the consequences.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

How did this topic get into armor all is the best question?? lol

I have taken apart alot of speakers, and I have rebuilt my DTs. Curiosity always gets me. Granted Ive seen the inside of my Taylos from pics - the crossover kind of peaks my curiosity but I can withstand the temptation to pop the hood. Im sure Ty used quality parts through and through.

Shiney drivers are neat, but I like the shiney phase plugs even more! Pretty stuff there.

I witnessed Ty's xover bench and parts storage; you will only find some of the finest components there, and everything wired point to point; not one circuit board.

Trey -- stop lying. You'll take those speakers apart eventually.

I took my Taylo reference monitors apart. It had lots of insulation, so I didn't see much. Didn't want to disturb the innards, so I left it alone.

No, nothing to take pics of except a bunch of insulation.

    Ah...

Curious - did the port in your reference monitor make a L shape?

The Port in the 7u rounds up into the cabinet... interesting

Maybe we should take bets on how long it will be before Trey takes his apart. I can already tell by his questions that he is dying to see what is inside!
