    Just realized this is the same auction referenced in the "1.2TL's on Ebay $600 or BIN $1200" thread a couple days ago. Jeeze, this guy has to be jumping for joy after getting $2575 for a $1200 BIN auction.

    The fact that BIN dissapears after the first bid irritates me. Obviously worked out for this guy.

    Man, what a set of uber "considerate" bidders:

    "Oh look...a near mint pair of rare SDA SRS 1.2TL's at a Buy-It-Now price of $1200. I think I'll wait around until the price is is bid up to or above the average market price of $2500. That way I won't feel guilty about "stealing" them from the seller."

    ePunk never ceases to entertain and amaze me. The BIN price was an outrageous steal even if you had to add on several hundred bucks to ship them across the country. A buyer still would have come in well under two grand even with $500 in shipping tacked on.

    When did the prices get like this? Fairly recently I've seen 1.2TLs advertised all over the place, and they didn't sell for nearly that much.

    They have been selling for $2500.00 and up for a long time. I just don't understand why some of you seem so shocked, it's nothing new.

    I think any of the SRS (original, 1.2, 1.2TL) are a great speaker for the money compared to what you can buy new for the same price range. Obviously comparing them to $5-10,000 per pair speakers isn't fair, but in the $1,000-3,000 range they're hard to beat.

    I paid $1,500 for my 1.2s (non-TL), and I wouldn't sell them for anywhere near that... just because it would cost me a small fortune to replace them with something that is a major audible improvement.

    If you can find a set, you can't go wrong...

    Thanks you Thank you for your site. I referenced it when I was getting to know SDA. Maybe the good folks here can provide copies of the manuals that are missing and or other Polk literature that they have for SDA's.

    I realy like your polksda pages. I had been using it for a while to see what is a good price on SDAs. Just won some on ebay. I am in central IL also. what town are you in?

    I paid $2550 for my 1.2TL's on ePays in December of 2001. For a while it looked like I would be able to snag them for under two grand, but some last minute bidders ran things up a bit. It took several years of searching before a pair showed up within driving distance of me.

    I bought mine for 1800.00 and I would definetely do it again ! but 2500.00 ok yea I would. I bought mine just by the pictures, Id heard them in the past without mods and loved them then. I likem even more now. Their like a mistress to me when the wife is away I go play them. (Loud) she likes them too so they get along (hehehe)

    Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    Somebody got a good deal on 1.2TLs on eBay recently. I think it was around $1200 for the speakers and a big Carver amp.
