I have been working 15-16 hr days so I haven`t had much time on the rig, but I do have two hours...

I got a new Cary SLP09L F1 DC...Jag Blue / Silver Face
I`ll get pic`s later...

All I can say is...WOW !
I had no idea that this pre would be so good...Cary does it again !

I`m running the Cary SLP98L F1 DC, (stock tubes)
Parasound HCA-3500 (500w @ 4 ohms)
Jolida-100 CDP w/ Siemens 12AX7`s
AQ King Cobra`s (for now)
AQ type 4 speak cable (for now)
Better Cables (Sub Cable)
Polk Lsi 9`s
SVS PC-Ultra sub


My jaw slammed the floor and will not return anytime soon !
The clarity, smoothness, openess, soundstaging, etc., has hit new heights...
You know when people say "I`m hearing things I never heard before" type of comments...IT`S TRUE !
Sounds sappy...but it`s so true
I`ve heard these cd`s so many times...now they`re new to me ...
I am almost done with this rig, as the synergy is definately there , and the sound is amazing..
I thought my office rig was the ultimate...and it most certainly is close...but this has got to be what I have been chasing for these many years...
It would take many,many, more dollars to get better, so here I stay for awhile...
Happy as a beardog in **** !

I highly recommend Cary products, and of course Kevin @ Upscale Audio (no affil.) for making my world this much better..

and of course the Polkies (you know who you are) for helping this sic beardog achieve what is my Nervana....

I just got Brother in Arms XRCD (import),George Faber, and the Legendary 24bit XRCD (super analog) Drum & Track Disc...and a few more on the way, so ....

    I know exactly how you feel Robert. SCompRacer brought his ModWright 9100ES over today and it was awesome. I have to have one but its a long way off as lack of funds mean I got to wait. Congrats on the new Cary!

    Thanks...I`m stoked !

    I almost bought the Modwright pre..
    EVERYTHING I read about it , and heard about it, told me it was the one to get..

    But I am a Die-Hard Cary Fan, and heard as many good thing about it , and since I already have a F1 Cary in the office, I went with this one....glad I did too..!!

    I still would like to audition the Modwright though...

    I`m really in love with the 211 anniversary model though...
    outta reach at the moment, but I have been real happy with all the Cary gear I have heard so far..
    I also have to give Kevin Deal @ Upscale (no affil.) his props too...
    He`s a great guy to work with..

    I run the same preamp.... good choice! Now tube roll with some Sylvania NOS tubes and get that thing to the next level.
