front speakers blown?

went to hook up speakers for my inlaws. tested them all and neither front speaker worked. checked the wiring and all is fine.brought the speaker to my house to test and doesn't work here either. you can hear sound out of the tweeter if you turn the sound up high. The speakers are about 10 years old. they are rm series II shielded sat. (rmss 103880) was wondering if I could change one of the capacitors and if so which one (there's 3, two small and one larger) or if it's even that or should i get 2 new speakers and if so which ones would work well with the other speakers. thanks
