Invite polkies, friends, relatives, over. Preferrably large ones. Number them and order them about the room while you listen. It helps plan the treatment locations...:D

Oh My!!! I think your speakers just winked at me Ricardo. I'm smitten:o
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

They....sound...awesome....tightest bass I've ever heard. It's "different", but you hear it and you just know that's the way it's supposed to sound.
Highs have a level of detail you would not believe is possible. Those millennium tweeters are something out of this world. I'm still evaluating the mid range...
One thing it jumps at me....I think the TAD's are having a hard time driving them; they are supposed to have an efficiency of 92db, but with two of them I need to turn volume higher than I had to for the 3.1's with only one. It does sound very very very good, but it just surprises me. Ty said that they were not even broken in (they are used), so this could be contributing? Or, maybe they sound sooooo nice that I can listen at higher volumes without any fatigue?? Don't know. I'll just second Trey's comment: Blind buy is not an issue with Tyler.

Congrats on the new speaks!! Lookin friggin awesome I might add.

Yes I have; UL provides a litle more "hump", but I think I like triode sound better.

When I say the TAD's have a hard time driving them I don't mean they don't sound good, or that there's not enough power. It's just that I need to dial volume a bit higher, at around 10 or 11 (considering it's a 11 db gain pre, this is right where it is supposed to be :))

:D well, of course....I'm terrible about doing it, just thought I'd make someone else feel bad about it like me :)
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Next time I'll bring a camera, if you bring the chaps :D

Now back to the speakers; these are by far the best speakers I've had, and I have no intention of upgrading...at least for a few years. Will seriously go into treatments and let you guys know my impressions.
I am also waiting for a pair of signal speaker wires to replace those generic 14g I have (no that it will make any difference.....;))

Regarding my wife, I have good news and bad news:

The good news: She loves the finish.

The bad news: she wants the grills on.....damn....those drivers are so sexy.

Speakers just passed the extreme bass test.

There's an Eminem CD in the house (just happens to be here   ). This CD is the "Extreme Bass test".

I use it to demo the SVS. The Tylers just passed the test. I'll use Russman's word: SICK.

    Ricardo,

I've been looking at signal cable speaker wire too. Which "level" of wire did you order?

Let me know if you hear any improvements. Thanks. - Ron

Those Seas woofers have absolutely insane bass response dont they?

Its odd watching those woofs move and the phase plugs stand still. My sub is the same way. Its weird.

    Anyways.......

    Its cool stuff.
