PSW150 Humming

I have been experiencing intermittent humming with my Polk PSW150.
Occasionally recycling the power switch will temporarily remedy the humming.
What would be the most cost effective way to resolve the humming?
When my sub is not humming I am still satisfied with it's performance.
Thanks, Emmett

Usually,it is some sort of ground loop.Disconnect the sub from your AVR or whatever your useing.Plug it in and turn on,does it still hum? If yes,try a 2.00 cheater plug from Rat Shack. If it only hums when connected to your AVR,then you have to try other ways.Disconnect one Interconnect cable at a time, carefully, thru out your system, this will help you nail it down.Let us know what you find. Most times it's a bad I/C or a cable box thats the culprit.HT SYSTEM-

It hums because it doesn't know the words.
In all seriousness, check the grounding as described above.Proud SOPA Member since 2005!
