I was in BB today getting Virus Scan 2007 & came across DSOTM SACD for a reasonable amount.

Well now I know what you guys have been raving about!:) Very good, albiet busy album! But it makes wonderful use of all 5 channels!

Very wierd how one song just merges into a new song & my head was kept busy scanning from left to right with the dude who kept running!  :D

    Cathy,

I don't have DSOTM yet myself, but I know eventually I will have to get it. I bought a used Sony SACD player off of ebay, still waiting for it to arrive.

Anyway, do you have "Jazz at the Pawn Shop?" I had heard so many people on this forum speak favorably about it. Then I happened to see at elusivedisc.com that they had a 30th aniversary limited edition set available and I ordered it. I've only listened to the redbook layer, but it is truly an amazing recording. There is a thread about it in the Music section.

No Robert. I don't have "Jazz at the Pawn Shop." I'm really not much of a jazz lover, so I wouldn't think to get it.

Cathy, way back when (early 80s) I was in no way a jazz fan. One day an audiophile friend of mine told me that I had to hear this double LP set of a jazz recording done in a little joint in Sweeden. He told me that even though I really disliked jazz I would love this set. I've been a lover of it since and it actually got me interested in jazz in all its forms.

If you would like I can lend you a copy of the double SACD set for you to check out and if you like it great, send it back, if you don't like, I tried, send it back. Whaddya say?

Cathy,You need to pick up a copy of the "Pulse" the Music DVD that Ron started this thread with.

A true masterpiece that shows how Pink Floyd used to put on a show...it was filmed in 1994 more than 20 years after the release of DSOTM...worth every penny.
