I bought 2 sets of open box EX572a's... one set is like new while the other has both speakers locked hard (coil frozen). The retailer wouldn't take them back due to open box policy... is there any kind of cheap replacement policy via Polk, or would it be easier (more cost efficient) just to eat the 25 bucks I spent on them?

    questorz.......Welcome.

Have you tried the defrost setting in your microwave?

Ok, I couldn't help myself. Call Polk to see if they can help.
