    Ricardo,

I didn't see this thread until now. I just threw away all of my gear. Including the Carver's I got from you today.

Those pics are incredible. Makes me feel small. Did you see any vinyl gear?

Well, looks like I'll be taking another trip to your house soon;)

Are these carvers replacing the monitor 7s? If so, I'll be a good friend and hold those for ya. :D

BIG TIME WOW!!! Awesome score HTRookie! That experience alone puts a few notches in your belt with regards to this audio adventure we're all stuck on!

Man.... the big talk right now at the Martin Logan Owner's Club forum are those MBL 101e..... man, those things are supposedly SICK!!!! Makes a Martin Logan owner's knees rather weak or so they say.

Great gear and great experience, I would've loved to be there with you.

    Damn Singapore!

Damn it... I went back and scrolled up to the pics again... I seriously want some MBLs....

You're right HTRookie, that's the speaker I want to aspire to.

Place like Adelphi should be the way to do it in anywhere US too: bring your checkbook, spend a day auditioning till there is no doubt what you want to get....and negotiate! In fact, I know for a fact that these vendors would work with you to mix-match components based on your requirements, even it means to borrow from the next door vendor.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

If thats the case...just ask for the MBL's instead of an Infinity for your graduation present. ;)

    Dude Victor...

LOL! Nononono.... as much of an audiophile as I am, I know when too much is too much.

That $46000 MBL 101e is only the start to the money pit! That speaker, being the most inefficient this side of the planet @ 82db and 1-4ohm Fr depending impedance, require MASSIVE monoblocks. We're talking another $60K in upstream gear alone....  !

I may be crazy... but not that crazy! I think I can live with my Summits for a long time, I just gotta make sure I dont listen to the MBLs, ignorance is bliss.

As Steve said, dont testdrive a Corvette if I'm buying a Camaro!

BTW, I really dig your new gear aka Money pit!! :)

You should have seen this thread before...it would have saved both of us some gas ;)

Small is a good word, though it was a great experience. There were vinyl gear in almost every set up; lots of acrylic made TT's. I just listened to one record, in the Martin Logan's rig. It was some classical flute. Sounded great.

Beautiful Audio all in one building. Thanks for taking pictures of what you could and sharing them with us.

I would like to know the price differences too. Oh well, I couldn't afford most of it anyway..:(
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

When I am down, I look at these gears and glad that I can't afford them...

who wants to go to Singapore for a night at the casino followed by a few hours auditioning these gears? Ricardo?

The thing is, you could afford some of the gears like this. Don't get me wrong, some of this stuff is uber-expensive. But, if one finds the sound they like, one has to save for it and not roll the piece of the month in and out of their system like one changes their drawers :D

I see so many people continually rolling pieces in and out, that I wonder if they are into the music or the gear. I understand that audio can be an unending quest, like the Grail, but it reaches a point where when is enough enough?

Perhaps I'm just the oddball (likely) that has found a reasonable contentment level in what I have. I never rolled pieces in and out like most folks here. I found what I liked and saved for it over the long run. Now I can enjoy the music and the gear makes it happen.

My daughter is just finishing up a semester there. I'm google-chatting with her now, I'll mention those places. She's not all that intrigued, tho.
