attaching paintable speaker cable to walls

I ran my audio setup (RM6800, thank you!) with Monster Navajo paintable cable. . . any ideas, or opinions out there on attaching said cable to a latex painted wall? I was told by someone of some stuff he thought was called "gum drop" made just for sticking speaker wire to "stuff", but I can't seem to find anything. . . I was thinking of using a craft hot glue gun; I asked Monster tech support about it, but they just tried to sell me "cable clamps" - made by Monster of course! appreciate any input on this. . . (I do plan to paint the cable) thanks!

If you MUST run cables to the outside of your walls, I don't think there would be any detrimental effect to the wire insulation from the heat of the glue from from your gun. Personally, I think your on the right track. Ideally, if your not renting, I would install the wires behind the baseboard molding for a cleaner look. Some moulding have channels especially made to accomidate wiring. You may even try to remove some of the 1/4 molding if you have this and there may be enough clearance under the baseboard molding to tuck your wires. You could even shave some of the back of the 1/4 molding to accomidate your wire if its not too thick. It really depends on how much time you have on your hands and how clean a look you want. If your running cables up the wall, Home Depot have paintable plasitic wire channels as an option to hide your wiring. Hope this helps.
