i did have a question though? i currently just have the two monitor 70's in the front r and L. but im going to buy the rears and center as time goes by. im wanting to run the fronts with a seperate power amp in the 200wpc range, the max i can push is 275wpc in the fronts. do you have any suggestions for a 2 channel power amp or is it ok to use any power amp? my reciever a denon avr-1907 has preouts for all 7 channels. i can run a seperate amp for each channel if i wanted to. but im trying to keep cost down to the minimum. thanks for your help

Power up the General to 'em. Just don't let it take them on any serious jumps or anything.

On a serious note, those things look great! I hope you enjoy them(I don't really see why you wouldn't). Unfortunately I don't know enough about a lot of this to answer your question, but someone on here assuredly will.

    Congrats man!

Hook whatever amp you want to them. They'll be in more danger if you underpower them because then you're more likely to clip the amp. Most people only use a few watts when they're listening to music anyways. If you get a really beefy amp just take it easy and know the limits (hopefully before you hit them).

well the reccomended for these speakers goes to 275 watts. so i was thinking 200 watts per channel for the big monitors. any good brand in the 2 - 300 dollar range? i want a amp that makes 200 wpc rms clean power

I have a modded Adcom GFA-565 mono blocks, 300wpc, they are awesome. You should also be able to get NAD 2200s or 2200 PEs in the $200 to $400 range those baby's are conservatively rated at 100 wpc but delivers double that and more. . .there is one being sold here on epay.

Edit you better hurry on that one there is only five minutes left and it is currently at $238.
