Should I take it that you are happy with the purchase?

    Well, actually...I *think* so.

I hooked them up to my preamp and started playing Big Mon in the CDP. Wow, it sounds great. Good highs and all that, and the bass has a good presence. In other words, I love the sound.

However, almost immediately the left channel cut out. I was like... I was scared pretty bad. I fiddle with the cord, wiggled this and that, tapped on the headphones, even changed the 1/4" adapter. Then I realized the cord plugs into the headphones as well, tightened that connection, all was well.

Then, a few songs later, it happened again. This time I REALLY got scared, because no amount of fiddling with ANYthing got the left channel to come back in. So then I decided to play 'em on my iPod. So far everything's fine and I've been listening for at least 15 minutes or so.

I don't know if it's my system or the headphones...and I'm not even sure which I hope it is!

However, I hope I soon find the culprit.

Ok, you can rest easy tonight. It's the headphone output on my preamp. The headphones are just fine.

And they really do sound great!!

    Thanks! :D
