With my old carver pro amps pumping out 1650 watts each I don't remember hearing anything close to 130 db when the top lights were hitting hard. Maybe I had defective grid power in my area. ?? Oh the good ole days of high power.

Well I have been working on my project today. All the woofers were 8ohms, and the TL's have 4ohms dimensional drivers. The inductor is about 3 ohms by itself, and the SDA effect just wasn't there. I replace the 8ohm dim drivers with 4ohms today. The sound stage opened up greatly. The singers are sounding very well centered, and the speakers all but disappear (all six feet of them). The depth just isn't there as much as my SDA'2 on the same gear. Still studying up on the tri amp project. The only caps or inductors in there are just the one large inductor for routing low frequencies to the dim drivers.
Well back at it. More research time.

Maybe if he was locked in Sid's closet with just the speakers and the amp.... OK he could have hit it with the meter he was using I have seen many meters that werent calibrated correctly....So it says 120 at 1 meter. Ive hit 131 in my car (86 rx7) with the age old fosgate punch 150 in mono on a pair of 12's It won me 1st place in the car audio contest and walked away with 150 dollars and a nice size trophy. It might be a stretch but after all he is doing something we havent tried in attempt to have the speakers he desires.....

Ok guys this is turning into pick on dumb kid thread.
I could use a little help here with my project please. so I will repost proir to where the silliness began.
These are cabinets that are just "prototypes" that have been modified for different configurations. The bracing in these is decent, but not how I am going to do the finished product. I will post pics of the insides of the finished product. The 2 10's are about 15% undersized from the big boy SDA's. The 1.2's and the 2.3's both have 15 inch PRs. The 1.2's have 8 MW's in them, and the 2.3's have 6 MWs in them. I am going to reface these one more time to try 3 10's. The PR's are over extending at full throttle @ 50hz and below. The next prototype may have 8 drivers for the stereo, and 4 for the SDA effect. If I do decide to go with 12 MW's in each cabinet I may use 4 10's in them. I haven't decided whether or not to have a separate chamber for the dimensional drivers to increase overall efficiency, and accuracy. I will be running a GFA-585 for the stereo, GFA 7500 for the dimensional, and GFA-7500 for the tweeters all electronically crossed over. On the stereo and dimensional drivers I want to place a fader on the outputs to the amps so I can adjust the SDA effect. I am going to experiment with the phase, and stereo separation of the dimensional drivers. It is so nice to be able to independently control the levels, and crossover slopes of all the drivers.
Thanks again, Plugging away,

OK guys I need a little advice. I am going tri amp my speakers. There are going to be 8 6503's in the stereo array, and 4 in the dimensional array (both arrays running at 4 ohms). Can I run the dimensional array out of phase, and send the left signal to the right, and the right to the left to get the SDA effect? I am assuming that is how they did the SRS system with the controller.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com.
