Don't get too comfortable. there's an arctic front heading our way. Last night it was over Missouri and dropping a lot of freezing rain and leaving a sheet of ice in it's wake.

Yup, still nice and warm in New England, at least as far as January goes. Looks like the winter weather may come next week though... it was ufn while it lasted.

My favorite cold weather moment was being at the Patriots Titans playoff game in 2003. 12 below zero with wind chill, one of the coldest game in NFL history. I remember ordering a beer, and it came in one of those plastic bottles. As soon as they took the cap off, the entire beer froze. Now THAT'S cold.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I know! Anecdotal evidence from one region really proves or disproves scientific theory, doesn't it?!

It was 70 degrees in January in New England last week, so which one of those aberrations is proof of either the existence or non-existence of Global Warming, Steve?

52f here, way too cold for SoCal plus there's a solid breeze blowing that's not helping. At least there's not a cloud in the sky.

That's a great way to get a reaction from the crowd! :D

I found myself bitching on the phone today about the miserable weather we are having here in AZ for the weekend...the problem is that I was talking to my parents who live in ND. They really don't appreciate my complaints.

I thought there would be a little humour in that. I tell that to all my wimpy family members back in Ontario when they begin to complain.

Sorry guys, I was just joking - not going in the pool, too dirty.

Seriously though, I do miss the cold weather I grew up with in NY. The fall was the best time of year.

Christmas sucks here, putting lights on a palm tree wearing shorts. Takes all the magic away.
