this is my first post I hope I am in the right place.

My front speakers are driven by a denon poa2800 amp the center and rears ar driven by my yamaha 5890 receiver. when I turn the tv on I get a quiet buzz out of my front speakers only. It does not increase or decrease with volume adjustment. When I turn the tv off the buzz stops I think it is from the cooling fan in the tv. I ran an extension cord from the basement to plug the tv into the buzz is still there when I turn the tv on.
(50' away different circuit)

The denon amp pics up the noise the yamaha 5890 does not?????

Is there some gadget I can plug the tv into to stop the buzz from back feeding into the wall outlet?

My rig
50" LCD sony grand wega
yamaha 5890 reciever (drives center and rears)
nad 521bee cd player
Denon poa 2800 (drives front speakers)
paradigm monitor11 fronts
paradigm cc370 center
paradigm adp370 rears
seismic 12 sub
monster 2100 power bar

Thanks for the help

Interesting, if annoying, calamity. Try switching your amps briefly to see what the cause might be... I have a feeling it might be a cabling issue.

Can you switch it so that the yammy is powering your front's and the denon the back? What happens when you do?

Also, is the wires from your speakers being run along side the power cable for the tv?

Oh, and welcome to the forum! Hope it all works out!

OK, I tried it, I used the denon to power the rears and yes I got the buzzing noise from the rears (only when the tv is on). Some how the denon amp is picking up noise from the fan in the tv.
As far as cables, I am using monster m1000i. I swaped the ones from the CD player with the pair that go to the amp no change. I also strung the tv power wire up in the air so it would be no where near the speaker wires same ****.

    Keep throwing out suggestions.

    The buzz drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If you have cable TV unplug the coax coming in to the TV or the cable box. See if the buzz goes away. As well, is the cable feed properly grounded. You can also put a filter (couple of $) on the coax. Try to determine if the cable is the problem.

try one of these.. it might help with the buzz. it has helped others in here before. it's a AC adapter is all. costs about $1.50 or less. Try one on your amp. or your TV. I don't know why a TV fan would interfere with an amp?

try different speaker wires.. they may not be sheiled enough to be that close to your TV. or the sheild may have a break in it........ these are all just suggetions.. but one of them may be the culprit.
