Buy this amp. It will literally blow your socks off.
If I lose my truck and my socks then walking will be painful. Seriously, it looks like an amazing amp, but if I'm going to be eating cardboard and old shoes over an audio component I'm hoping for something in the 300+WPC range. One of those "last amp I'll ever buy" deals. -
Watts mean squat.
This thing cranks out 180,000 uF - two torrodial transformers.
Its the solidest 150 watts of you life.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
PM sent.

Microfarads and transformer power don't do anything if the output transistors get in the way. I'm sure it's an incredibly stunning amplifier and I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had the cash. It's a remarkable machine.
Just if I make one big-$$ amp purchase I'm getting something that can power any speaker I can fit into the house the rest of my natural life. A McIntosh MC2500 comes to mind. Mac used to demo the power handling of their old ML-4 speakers by plugging the speaker wires directly into a 110V power outlet and listening to the 60Hz buzz. Ohm I's and SDA-SRS's need some mammoth power, too. -

Sid is right. You cannot evaluate the handling power of an amp based solely on watts. This amp will drive virtually any speaker on the planet without breaking a sweat. This Odyssey is a "last amp" purchase. If I had the money, I would have purchased it as soon as it was posted.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Just out of curiosity, what's the current rating on this with the 180,000 uF capacitance upgrade?

I don't have Linbrooks. I have VMPS Tower II SE speakers. With two 12" woofers and a 12" passive radiator in cabinet, I'm sure they'll appreciate the extra power.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
