    well guys I see nothing has changed. Liv4manuals huh? Interesting? Don't remember ever quotting manuals. I do remember TroyD ownwithcustomerservice though because he has no real experience. But anyways. Let's talk about wire. I want to talk about how bad Acoustic Research wire is and that evrybody seems to think that wire doesn't matter.

    Damn.....why is it momma tells me she needs to make a call when you show up? Don't like AR wire (just bought the rest of what Lowes had for .45')....what should I get......something $45.00 a foot? You never gave me a review of the SDA line? Help me out here....

    Man, I have ran into AR wires on the job and my review is this. They sound hissy and they have absolutely no bass response, they pick up more interference than an AM antenna and every single job that we have been to we've had to replace them with at least a patch cord. I could take a piece of RG-59 Coax that's been outside for three years and that has rusted, terminate and sound better than those crap cables. You shouldn't put them on a garbage system.

    Intelligent post, well, as intelligent as I expected. Absolutley no bass response? Where's the roll start? 200Hz? 62Hz?

    Wire does matter, that was not the debate.

    If you'd remove your skull from you ****, and take a deep breath for a moment, search on the wire posts, and you will find that the debate was what makes one wire different from another, and what justifies the cost to performance ratio. Speaker, Interconns, and I believe some HT optical/dig coax cables were included in various discussions.

    IMO, the higher you climb up the audio ladder the more it matters. I know nothing about Acoustic Research wire, but have used Monster, AudioQuest, Vampire(I think that's the name) and MIT. I found the MIT's to have smoother highs, deeper bass, more depth, a wider soundstage and very good detail. So, how bad are the AR's, better or worse than what and in what price range?

    Hey, he came in here slapping mofos around and tossing terms he read in a manual, so I say, you reap what you sow.

    I also think that liv4testing should bust open a Yammie HTR and RX-V receiver and describe in detail the differences between the two lines (other than cosmetic). Seeing as the Yamaha says there is none.

    You mention that AR cables are crap. Which line and what cables did you try? Currently they have Performance, Pro, and Master Series. What would you compare them to?
